Q’s Most Ambitious Commercial EVER!

Posted On: April 17, 2015

AGF Commercial

Allie unravels set materials

Props shipped into the office; Richard, Allison and Caitie were auditioning 100+ actors  in Mandarin, Russian, German, French, and English; Julian, an animator and our partner at Studio Feather, was perfecting illustrations and plans for complex 3D rendering and compositing; Graeme, our director, rigorously planned shots: that was all T-Minus 15 hours to Q’s most ambitious commercial shoot ever! Then, a full, crazy, fun production day at Evergreen, our new favourite studio space.

At Q, we have 1000’s of broadcast, digital, and print campaigns under our belt. We often execute these projects with real individuals telling their stories, tight knit teams, and intimate interviews. While many of the same principals apply with larger scale projects, when you have almost 100 creatives, crew, and talent involved, a short timeline, and only 12 hours to shoot and nail every frame, planning needs to be tight. So we were in high gear!

We are excited to be working with AGF on another clever, playful spot, but one that’s going to be a lot more experimental and intricate. We love that AGF is taking a creative risk and taking us along for the ride.  Oh yeah, and we can’t wait to share it with you!

Stay tuned for a really cool spot launching mid-May…
