Old Q Series

We reached into our archives of shows, commercials, docs and PSAs and came across some of our favorite series Entrada and PANASIA. Back then, Steve had just become part of the q family and Dorothy and Steve traveled the world – filming exotic places, eating delicious cuisine and learning new languages. Here are some snippets of what they were all about and some archival footage to help you better understand our q roots!

Host of Entrada series looks over a fresh fishWelcome to the world of Entrada, Journeys in Latin American Cuisine, a unique food and travel television series. Entrada’s 26 half-hour episodes transports viewers to Chile, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Costa Rica and Puerto Rico. From the fertile plains, beaches and jungles, to the snow-capped Andes, from small villages and large cities, farms, vineyards and plantations, restaurants and haciendas, host Roanna leads viewers on a quest to discover Latin America’s finest chefs and regional cuisine.

PANASIA was another travels and tastes show, hosted by the enchanting Sian Richards, who brings life to the rich and enticing flavours of the east. Her journey takes viewers from India to Indonesia as she samples buttery nan and savoury curries. The deft touch of PANASIA’s director Craig Moffit is evident at every turn. And our extremely hard-working creative team was lead by Gord McFarlane (editor), Karen Dougherty (writer), Dorothy Engelman and Toni Stevens (producers) and Vineet (DOP) spent the good part of the year producing this epic 26 part series.
