Q Media was asked by SickKids Foundation to help support a very special group, the Paediatric Advanced Care Team (PACT). This extraordinary group of individuals play a crucial role in promoting quality of life for SickKids patients and their families, applying the principles of palliative care to all patients, where previously the focus was on end-of-life.
Theirs was a story yet to be told, as they support families who are in the hospital for the short term or for an extended period of time undergoing treatment. They also help patients who are at end-of-life, and support families through bereavement.
We were honoured to meet some of the families who have benefitted greatly from the support of PACT and show, through their poignant stories, the vital importance of PACT.
