Three years ago we had the pleasure of profiling the 2009 Fellowship of Honour Recipients and we were thrilled to be approached by the YMCA again for this year’s event.

The Fellowship of Honour celebrates leadership in staff and volunteers at the YMCA and is presented by the Governor General at a great party in Ottawa. 13 honourees located across the country meant our crews got to travel to Montreal, Edmonton, North Bay, Belleville, Fredericton, Cambridge and Winnipeg!

This video profiles Ray Mantha, an honouree from North Bay who has been committed to the  YMCA for many years.

With this project we also had a great opportunity to improve on the last round – how could we make these profiles new, fresh and interesting?  We even took a one-man band approach to shooting, sending out a hybrid director-cameraperson-soundperson with a knapsack of gear – with great results!
