One of several explainer videos created for the series PULL, exploring how technology is changing health care. Today there are mobile apps that can help you track blood sugar and heart rate while wearable technologies like Nike+ measure and monitor vital statistics while you exercise. These technologies allow us to share all this information with our health care teams and work together to keep our health on track. The future benefit is that all of our health data can be shared with government, scientists, and researchers and used to find patterns, behaviours and trends. This could inform the next drug trial, improve prevention models, perhaps even design a cure for cancer. The possibilities are endless. Join the conversation on PULL.
