How do you present Power Point slides in a fresh and compelling manner? That was the question we faced in early February when we got a call from the Liberal Party of Canada. Initially they were looking for a way to freshen up a number of income and GDP growth charts for a speech.
Is that a yawn I hear?
Two weeks later the idea had evolved into a full scale whiteboard animation featuring Justin Trudeau and his concerns about Canada’s middle class. This whirlwind production was a lot of fun to put together, with great artwork from Todd Ward and animation from Matthew Bennett and Shawn Dell.
Most importantly, the video presents political ideas in a fresh way, something a number of news media have commented on. Maybe political conversation can move away from a seemingly endless cycle of attack ads.
